Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Ledger Specialist to become a vital part of our Fabrics accounting division. In this capacity, you will collaborate with a team dedicated to delivering essential accounting support and partnership to our operations within a premier manufacturing organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute month-end closing procedures for the general ledger, including the preparation and posting of entries related to prepaids, reclassifications, and various accruals.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts to guarantee precise financial reporting.
  • Carry out quarterly General Ledger functions, such as reconciliations, exception reporting, and other associated tasks.
  • Review, uphold, and enhance processes to ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Regularly assess cost center balances to confirm accuracy and compliance.
  • Deliver reporting and analytical insights to the Finance Team and other relevant departments as required.
  • Assist in the independent financial audit process.
  • Maintain robust internal controls.
  • Provide general ledger assistance as necessary, promoting collaboration and consistency.
  • Work closely with the Finance team to ensure alignment and adapt to the evolving needs of internal stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in general ledger or public accounting.
  • Proven expertise in general ledger accounting.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with US GAAP.
  • Able to convey accounting concepts to non-financial personnel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Capability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to act as a business partner.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and reporting tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% as necessary.
