Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in SuccessFactors or similar HRIS systems and will demonstrate expertise in solution design, system optimization, project management, integrations, and configuration.

As a Senior SuccessFactors Technical Analyst, you will be responsible for leading client assessments, designing practical and scalable solutions, managing complex implementation projects, and providing expert-level support across various SuccessFactors modules. You will also play a critical role in integrating and configuring the system, optimizing its performance, and ensuring it meets all regulatory and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technology Proficiency and System Optimization

  • Expertise in SuccessFactors: Leverage a deep and analytical understanding of SuccessFactors HRIS functionality, nuances, and system behaviors to optimize user experience and system performance. Utilize advanced knowledge of SuccessFactors modules such as Employee Central, Learning, Performance & Goals, Compensation, Recruiting, and Onboarding to drive system enhancements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement system improvements that align with best infrastructure practices, streamline workflows, and enhance automation processes. Stay updated on the latest SuccessFactors updates and releases, assessing their impact on current configurations and advising on necessary adjustments.

2. Solution Design and Implementation

  • Client Assessments: Lead comprehensive client assessments to understand business needs, challenges, and objectives. Conduct extensive gap analyses and gather detailed business requirements to develop actionable project plans tailored to the unique needs of each organization.
  • Solution Development: Design and deliver scalable, practical solutions that align with business parameters such as culture, cost, timeline, and scope. Translate complex business requirements into technical solutions that ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of SuccessFactors modules.
  • Project Leadership: Serve as the Implementation Project Manager for SuccessFactors projects, overseeing all aspects from planning to execution and delivery. Manage project workstreams, deliverables, and action items, ensuring timely and successful completion. Foster strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, providing guidance and advocacy as a technical SME throughout the implementation process.

3. Configuration and Integration

  • Hands-On Configuration: Act as the primary hands-on operator within the solutions design team, configuring and troubleshooting SuccessFactors modules to ensure system integrity and performance. Quickly analyze and resolve system errors and exceptions, reducing the need for third-party vendors and driving faster organizational response.
  • Integration Management: Lead integration efforts between SuccessFactors and other systems, including HRIS, ERP, and financial systems. Assess technical requirements, perform hands-on configuration, and conduct thorough field analysis to ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability. Collaborate with internal and external teams to provide advanced integration support and drive successful outcomes.

4. Workforce Management

  • Time and Attendance: Configure and maintain timekeeping systems, scheduling tools, and time clocks within SuccessFactors. Manage leave management, vacation and sick accruals, and ensure compliance with state-by-state regulations. Develop and configure HR transactional events, XML forms, and mobile applications to enhance workforce management capabilities.
  • Compliance and Automation: Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, implementing automation and workflows to streamline processes and reduce manual intervention. Monitor system performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain compliance and optimize efficiency.

5. Analytics and Reporting

  • Data Integrity and Reporting: Establish and maintain a comprehensive reports library within SuccessFactors, promoting data integrity and conducting frequent audits to ensure accuracy. Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to analyze large datasets, translating data into actionable insights and making recommendations to management.
  • Advanced Reporting: Develop and deliver advanced reports and dashboards, providing key stakeholders with timely and accurate information to support decision-making. Utilize SuccessFactors’ reporting and analytics tools to create custom reports, monitor system performance, and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

6. Compensation, Learning, and Performance

  • Compensation Management: Configure all performance, sales bonus, and merit plans within SuccessFactors, providing guidance on required field elements and ensuring smooth integration with performance management processes. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to design and implement compensation strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Learning and Development: Configure learning plans, calendars, and content within SuccessFactors Learning module, ensuring alignment with organizational learning and development goals. Support the implementation of learning initiatives, including course creation, content management, and user engagement.

7. General Ledger and Financial Systems Integration

  • Financial Systems Expertise: Work closely with finance teams to configure and maintain the general ledger within SuccessFactors, ensuring accurate account mapping and integration with ERP and financial systems. Conduct regular audits and reviews of cost centers, direct/indirect labor, and other financial data to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • Ad Hoc Reporting: Develop and maintain ad hoc reports to support financial analysis and decision-making. Provide ongoing support to finance teams, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across systems.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. SuccessFactors certifications in relevant modules are highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience as a SuccessFactors Technical Analyst or similar role, with a strong focus on HRIS, system configuration, integration, and project management. Proven experience in designing and implementing SuccessFactors solutions, with a deep understanding of its architecture, functionality, and best practices.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SuccessFactors modules such as Employee Central, Learning, Performance & Goals, Compensation, Recruiting, and Onboarding. Strong technical skills in system configuration, integration, and reporting, with a deep understanding of SuccessFactors’ security features, business processes, and reporting tools.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience managing complex SuccessFactors implementation projects, with a strong focus on stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights. Experience with data management, reporting, and analytics, with a focus on promoting data integrity and ensuring accuracy.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner, and provide guidance and advocacy throughout the implementation process.
