Lead Financial Accountant

The Lead Financial Accountant will play a pivotal role in a dynamic Medical Device Manufacturing organization. This position offers a competitive salary and significant opportunities for professional advancement.
About the Organization
We are collaborating with a thriving Medical Device Manufacturing firm with approximately $100M in annual revenue. They are seeking to expand their finance team by adding a Lead Financial Accountant who will report directly to the CFO. The ideal candidate should possess over four years of accounting experience in a manufacturing setting and have a working knowledge of Netsuite.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and accurately post journal entries in a timely manner.
- Ensure the integrity and precision of financial statements.
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of financial documentation for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and other regulatory standards.
- Support the annual budgeting process.
- Assist in developing financial forecasts and analyzing discrepancies.
- Provide financial insights to aid in strategic planning.
- Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Stay informed on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs.
- Prepare cost reports and variance analyses.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure accurate costing and inventory valuation.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Ensure timely and precise processing of invoices and payments.
- Monitor cash flow and manage working capital effectively.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Utilize technology to streamline accounting operations.
- Provide training and support to junior accounting personnel.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of four years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing context.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in Netsuite and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The successful Lead Financial Accountant will receive:
- A competitive base salary ranging from $80,000 to $110,000, based on experience.
