Typical systems and components include inertial navigation systems, inertial sensors (accelerometers and gyroscopes), MEMS devices, ASICs, fiber optics, and other electronic components.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain radiation hardening throughout the product lifecycle.

• Independently tackle complex challenges - develop requirements, propose solutions when customer specifications are ambiguous, and adapt to evolving requirements.

• Maintain a proven track record of successful task leadership, identifying risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.

• Demonstrate the ability to lead medium-sized teams (5-10 members), aligning team efforts towards program objectives and fostering trust within the group.

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) capable of conducting advanced radiation effects analyses.

• Offer insights and recommend design modifications based on analytical outcomes, applying analytical techniques across various technical challenges and disciplines.

• Identify program/system-level technical risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

• Create, document, and teach best practices to junior engineers.

• Exhibit strong organizational, planning, and time management skills to achieve program objectives.

• Actively mentor team members, recognizing their strengths and weaknesses while providing constructive feedback.

• Perform additional related duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members, program leadership, and non-technical personnel.

• Strong analytical skills to support modeling and analysis tasks.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in planning critical testing and analysis activities.

• Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Team-oriented individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing tasks and demands.

• Solid understanding of radiation interactions with materials and devices.

Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or PhD is preferred.

Experience:
7-10 years of experience in Radiation Engineering or a related field.

Additional Information:
