About the Role

The Educational Behavior Consultant is responsible for delivering educational and behavioral support services to children and adults with special needs. This role involves collaboration with educational professionals and fellow behavior specialists to meet learning and behavioral objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to the directives of the BCBA/program supervisor/educator.
  • Deliver behavioral support and interventions to assigned clients.
  • Implement ABA teaching strategies effectively.
  • Provide behavioral support services.
  • Engage in crisis intervention as necessary.
  • Review and execute behavior intervention plans.
  • Assess and implement behavioral goals outlined in IEPs.
  • Document sessions in accordance with established policies.
  • Accurately collect and manage data.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Assist clients in developing independent living skills through self-care routines.
  • Implement behavior management techniques as directed by supervising educators, including reinforcing appropriate behaviors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

About You

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A passion for working with children and making a positive difference.
  • Availability: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (part-time or potentially full-time).
  • Two years of relevant experience in an educational setting preferred.
  • Current CPR certification preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for effective information exchange with supervisors, colleagues, and clients.
  • Proficiency in computer use required.
  • Ability to work sensitively with a diverse population.
  • Reliable transportation for travel to various service areas.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; bilingual ability preferred.
  • Consistent demonstration of sound judgment and decision-making skills.
Physical Requirements

Physical demands may include but are not limited to:
  • Constant visual engagement, including close and distance vision.
  • Frequent sitting and standing.
  • Regular use of telephone and computer.
  • Document handling and filing tasks.
  • Occasional lifting and moving of items up to 20 pounds.
Salary Range

$20-$25 per hour.
