Job Overview

Position: Automotive Manufacturing Engineering Lead


GENERAL SUMMARY
This role is pivotal in achieving departmental objectives related to performance, project management, and engineering responsibilities. The incumbent will address technical inquiries, oversee project budgets, facilitate the onboarding of new personnel, and collaborate with various divisions.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Oversee and manage budgets for multiple projects.
B. Supervise diverse teams and their respective projects.
C. Strategically plan and execute to ensure timely project completion.
D. Evaluate designs for Progressive and Transfer tooling.
E. Monitor the development of new tools alongside the toolroom team.
F. Conduct research and development for designs and products.
G. Identify training needs and promote talent development.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS


Education:

  • Associate's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Mechanical Engineering Technologist or Mechanical Engineer.
  • Tool Makers with Design Experience may also be considered.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in 3-D CAD design.
  • A minimum of 5 years in stamping or a related industry.
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience.

Skills:

  • Proficient in 3-D CAD software, preferably NX.
  • Self-motivated and capable of achieving specific goals within the Engineering Department.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CAD software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.

Language Proficiency:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.

Software Proficiency:

  • Familiarity with industry-standard software, including 3-D CAD (preferably NX) and Microsoft Office.
