About The Team
Our Student Product Management team is expanding, and we are on the lookout for a skilled Product Manager who is passionate about overseeing critical functionalities within Workday Student applications.
As a collective of product managers, we are dedicated to defining, designing, and developing innovative features that ensure our products facilitate customer compliance with various federal, state, and regulatory requirements.
We actively engage with clients to identify product solutions that address their regulatory reporting needs.
About The Role
You will acquire comprehensive knowledge of Workday applications from the Student perspective.
Through structured and informal training, you will act as the product owner for components that cater to the Financial Aid compliance requirements of our clients.
Your role will involve translating business needs into functional specifications to fulfill the requirements of Workday customers, collaborating closely with a development team to design and implement these capabilities.
Utilizing agile development methodologies, you will represent product management and your customers to ensure the successful delivery of the intended product. You will become the internal subject matter expert and consultant for your product, gaining insights across the suite of Workday Student applications through teamwork and cross-team collaboration.
About You
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a product owner or closely collaborating with a product manager to convert customer and market needs into product deliverables throughout the entire product lifecycle.
5+ years of experience as a Financial Aid compliance officer or Financial Aid business analyst, effectively communicating regulatory guidelines and strategic directions set by federal, state, and other financial aid authorities.
5+ years of experience coordinating compliance and system processing related to federal Pell grants, student loan programs, and Institutional Student Information Records (ISIRs) for financial aid, as well as processing payment records using the federal Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) system.
5+ years of experience in the Higher Education sector, encompassing student registration, academic records, academic advising, and student financial services.

Analytical thinking skills with the ability to convey complex business processes to diverse audiences, from internal engineering teams to external clients.
A flexible and effective influencing style, capable of collaborating and influencing cross-functionally with a user-centered approach.
Comfortable navigating an environment characterized by ambiguity and uncertainty.
Ability to set and achieve ambitious timelines.
Self-motivated and results-oriented with a positive attitude.
A strong desire for intellectual growth and learning new techniques and technologies.
Proficiency in Agile development methodologies.
Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Experience with enrollment and deferment reporting required for the US Department of Education.
Familiarity with the regulatory, reporting, and procedural requirements for managing state, local, and government regulatory compliance.
A good sense of humor.
Workday Pay Transparency Statement
The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are outlined below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location.
This role may qualify for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, in addition to annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters will provide more details during the hiring process.
Each candidate's compensation offer will be determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to geography, experience, skills, job responsibilities, and business needs.
