Role Summary:
The Lead Financial Strategist - FP&A at Augmentjobs is essential in steering the organization’s financial planning, analysis, and strategic initiatives. This position will be accountable for delivering insights that inform critical decisions, enhancing financial performance, and assisting senior management with comprehensive financial data and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning & Forecasting:
    • Oversee the annual budgeting cycle, including long-term strategic financial planning.
    • Create intricate financial models to estimate revenues, expenses, and cash flow.
    • Evaluate and revise forecasts in response to evolving business dynamics.
  2. Management Reporting:
    • Compile and present monthly and quarterly financial summaries to senior management.
    • Monitor and assess key financial indicators, offering insights and recommendations.
    • Guarantee the precision and uniformity of financial data across different departments.
  3. Strategic Analysis:
    • Perform comprehensive analyses on business performance, pinpointing trends, risks, and opportunities.
    • Collaborate with business units to support strategic endeavors, including mergers and acquisitions, capital projects, and new product introductions.
    • Assess financial ramifications of business choices, delivering actionable insights to leadership.
  4. Process Enhancement:
    • Refine and enhance financial processes to boost efficiency and accuracy.
    • Adopt best practices in financial analysis and reporting.
    • Coordinate closely with the accounting team to ensure consistency between financial planning and actual outcomes.
  5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Engage with key stakeholders across various departments to collect information and ensure alignment on financial goals.
    • Serve as a financial consultant to business units, offering guidance on budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; MBA or CFA is preferred.
  • Experience: 5 to 8 years in financial planning and analysis, with a robust background in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Expertise in financial modeling and Excel.
    • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan).
    • Strong grasp of GAAP and financial statements.
  • Analytical Skills:
    • Capability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Capacity to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders clearly and concisely.
  • Problem-solving Skills:
    • Robust problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
  • Leadership:
