Job Overview

Position: Accounting Clerk – Full-Time

The Accounting Clerk plays a crucial role in the Accounting Department, handling various clerical and data entry responsibilities. This position involves managing bill and payment reconciliations and contributing to product knowledge initiatives, along with participating in special projects and other assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilizing Quickbooks for invoicing, credit card transactions, and reconciliations.
  • Employing Microsoft Excel extensively for generating reports, creating spreadsheets, and tracking data (knowledge of macros is advantageous).
  • Maintaining organization in tracking utility spreadsheets for multiple stores and managing invoice files.
  • Overseeing payments through utility portals and ensuring timely downloading of invoices.
  • Exhibiting a proactive attitude, thriving in a dynamic environment, and inspiring colleagues to embrace learning and innovative thinking.
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Completing additional duties or special projects as required.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an office environment using Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication abilities, effectively engaging with vendors and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, adaptability, and flexibility in response to change.
  • Proficient in using computers and various technologies.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, particularly in vendor payment communications.
  • Willingness and eagerness to learn about the business.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to remain seated at a computer for extended periods, engaging with customers, colleagues, and vendors through various communication methods.
  • Position may involve exposure to various sensory stimuli from products and environments.
Employment Status

This is a regular, full-time, hourly position classified as "non-exempt" under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), requiring a minimum of 40 hours of work per week. Overtime pay is applicable for hours worked beyond 40 per week.
