Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Project Accountant to join our team at Mithun. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in overseeing the financial aspects of various projects and act as a bridge between the Project Design Teams and the Accounting department.

Our team collaborates in the office from Monday to Thursday, with flexible work-from-home options available on Fridays for most positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with billing processes and monthly revenue forecasts.
  • Deliver monthly budget performance reports for ongoing projects.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure vendor payments comply with contractual obligations.
  • Support staffing projections to optimize project profitability.
  • Identify budget adjustments and recommend necessary contract modifications.
  • Review and comprehend contract terms related to project type, scope, and invoicing.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to enhance visibility into project performance.
  • Contribute to the creation of new tools that empower project teams to deliver exceptional service and design quality while managing financial resources effectively.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Accountant or in a comparable role.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • Strong customer-centric approach.
  • Experience in the architecture, construction, or design sectors is preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel, with the ability to adapt to financial data systems.
  • Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint is advantageous.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $90,000 annually, with actual compensation determined by experience, qualifications, internal equity, and location.
