This role requires collaboration during EST hours and offers a hybrid work model, with onsite presence expected a few days each week.

Team Dynamics

The Technology Strategy Lead will report to the Manager of Strategy and Integration within the Enterprise Technology Industrial System IT team. This newly formed team is tasked with driving strategic development and execution while ensuring the integration of processes, systems, and data across the Industrial System portfolio.

Our Industrial System IT team comprises approximately 2000 professionals who lead the global IT functions for automotive engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality processes.

Key Responsibilities

The Technology Strategy Lead will collaborate with the Manager of Strategy and Integration and engage with IT and business partners to establish and implement a comprehensive vision, strategy, and roadmap aimed at modernizing processes, systems, and data across the Industrial System. Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing insights into industry trends and best practices across various industrial functions
  • Assessing the current state of Ford's automotive processes and identifying gaps
  • Formulating strategies for technology modernization and portfolio optimization
  • Defining necessary shifts for Ford to thrive in a simplified industrial technology landscape
  • Leading cross-functional initiatives within the ISIT organization
  • Collaborating with enterprise architects to create an integrated systems portfolio
  • Aligning solution strategies with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and industry best practices
  • Managing stakeholder relationships across leadership in the Industrial System
  • Preparing and delivering executive updates and presentations on operational progress and strategic objectives
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:
  • Expertise in the Industrial System domain and its interconnected ecosystem
  • Proven strategic thinking and execution capabilities
  • An inclusive leadership style with the ability to influence and build relationships across all organizational levels
  • Strong knowledge of both established and emerging technologies in PLM, MFG, MRP, Quality, and Supply Chain
  • The ability to balance operational excellence with long-term strategic vision
  • Experience working in a cross-functional, matrixed environment within a large multinational corporation
  • A commitment to embodying the Ford+ behaviors and working ethically towards the success of the Ford+ plan
