Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our Accounts Payable team in Houston, TX. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the AP department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer multi-line telephone calls and relay messages to appropriate personnel
  • Greet vendors, customers, and visitors in a professional manner
  • Determine purpose of calls and route to appropriate department
  • Retrieve messages from voicemail and forward to appropriate department
  • Maintain a safe and clean reception area
  • Distribute incoming AP mail
  • File expense and freight invoices as needed
  • Issue purchase orders
  • Data entry

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of general office clerk experience required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Great organizational skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Computer literate with 10 key experience
  • Excellent phone etiquette and multi-line telephone experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills
  • Professional attitude

Shift Time/Overtime: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, overtime as needed

Education: High School Diploma or GED
