Job Overview

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a seasoned and driven Senior Manager of Financial Operations to enhance our North America Sales team.

Your Role

In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Director of North America Finance and key stakeholders in North America Sales to facilitate strategic decision-making, deliver financial insights, and foster operational excellence.

This role requires a strong partnership with both Speedboat and Central Finance teams, as well as regular collaboration with Sales and Sales Operations.

Success in this position demands exceptional analytical skills, outstanding organizational and communication abilities, and a commitment to driving process enhancements and insights across all critical FP&A functions.

Your Contributions

  1. Strategic Business Partnership: Serve as the financial liaison to key Sales leaders in North America. Develop a comprehensive understanding of their operations and translate that into actionable financial data. Regularly create metrics and reports to assess business health, identifying P&L risks and opportunities.
  2. North America Planning: Convert Go-to-market strategies and corporate objectives into annual bookings, operational expenditures, and headcount plans. Actively participate in the planning processes for North America, focusing on run-rate analysis, investment modeling, affordability assessments, and budget distribution.
  3. Financial Close and Reporting: Lead the financial close and forecasting processes for North America Sales. Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports, analyses, and key performance indicators that support informed business decisions. Implement best practices to enhance forecasting accuracy and streamline the closing process.
  4. Efficiency and Process Improvement Projects: Identify, design, and spearhead initiatives aimed at creating efficiencies, standardizing practices, and driving process improvements to empower the NAM Sales Finance team to scale effectively and provide impactful analyses for decision-making.
  5. Mentorship and Development: As a senior team member, embody a growth mindset and a proactive attitude, while mentoring junior team members and collaborating with Shared Services. Recognize the significance of teamwork, collective success, and cultivating a values-driven team culture.
