Your Role

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Manager in Sales Finance. In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with the Director of North America Finance and key stakeholders in North America Sales to facilitate strategic decision-making, provide financial insights, and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Partnership: Act as the finance partner to key sales leaders in North America. Develop a comprehensive understanding of their operations and translate this into actionable financial insights. Create metrics and reports to monitor business health, identify P&L risks, and uncover opportunities for profitability enhancement.
  • Strategic Planning: Align the go-to-market strategy with annual bookings, operational expenditures, and headcount plans. Engage actively in the planning processes for North America, focusing on run-rate analysis, investment modeling, and budget allocation.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the financial close and forecasting processes for North America Sales. Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports, analysis, and key metrics to support business decision-making. Implement best practices to streamline forecasting and enhance the efficiency of the close process.
  • Project Leadership: Identify and lead initiatives aimed at creating efficiencies and standardizing business practices. Drive process improvements that enable the Sales Finance team to scale effectively and deliver impactful analysis for decision-making.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a growth mindset and a collaborative team culture.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting; MBA, CPA, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Over 8 years of relevant FP&A experience, particularly in Sales Finance.
  • Proficiency with ERP and/or Planning Systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in dynamic environments.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of integrity.
  • A passionate and energetic team player.
