- Customer Service: Provides exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Financial Clearance: Ensures that patients are financially cleared for services, including verifying insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility, and obtaining necessary authorizations and approvals.
- Medical Necessity and Verification: Verifies medical necessity for services, ensuring that patients receive the necessary care and treatment.
- Communication and Collaboration: Collaborates with healthcare providers, patients, and families to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or degree preferred.
- Experience: 0-1 year of experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in computer software and systems, including registration and scheduling systems.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures, including HIPAA and OIG guidelines.
The Patient Access Representative II will work in a hospital or healthcare setting, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
