Job Summary:

The Patient Service Representative Lead is responsible for supervising patient and customer service-related activities in a healthcare setting. This role involves ensuring accurate and efficient registration, scheduling, and financial analysis activities for all patients upon arrival to the healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise patient service representatives in a variety of activities, including registration, scheduling, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of patient information, including insurance verification and billing.
  • Coordinate care for patients and support patients, families, and caregivers in self-management and behavior change.
  • Manage the practice's patient population and participate in quality improvement processes.
  • Interact with third-party payers and other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of self-pay collections, medical terminology, and basic ICD-9 skills required.
  • Fluent computer skills, including Windows, Word Processing, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • BLS certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of supervisory experience.
  • Bi-lingual.
  • BS in Business Administration or related field.
