Position Overview:

Koniag Government Services, a subsidiary of Koniag, is seeking an Event Management Specialist with Secret Clearance to support our government clientele. This role is designed for a Future New Business Opportunity and is available as a Remote Opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage client registrations and process payments for both onsite and virtual events.
  • Monitor registration status and ensure clients have all necessary registration information.
  • Research, coordinate, and secure meeting and conference venues.
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients and event organizers, overseeing all communications and logistics.
  • Facilitate venue procurement for client events.
  • Coordinate hotel accommodations for clients.
  • Negotiate contracts effectively.
  • Review venue agreements for precision.
  • Maintain timely and professional communication.
  • Respond promptly to client requests with urgency.
  • Document all event processes and details using Google Sheets and our internal project management system.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Track event-related expenses and receipts.
  • Propose ideas for process enhancements.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support as required.
  • Generate reports for project management.
Qualifications:
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Secret Clearance is mandatory.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Responsive to client requirements.
  • Capable of maintaining professionalism in client-facing situations.

  • Ability to communicate issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and PDF document management.
  • A proactive team player with a supportive attitude.
  • Service-oriented mindset towards clients and colleagues.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Work Environment:

This position operates within a professional office setting characterized by a low to moderate noise level. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines will be utilized.

The role is primarily indoors, consistent with standard office positions, and involves sitting for extended periods. The incumbent must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations and manage moderate stress levels. Occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 lbs may be required. Specific vision abilities necessary for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
