About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cultural Resource Monitor to join our team at Dudek. As a Cultural Resource Monitor, you will be responsible for identifying and documenting cultural resources during construction projects, ensuring that our clients meet their regulatory requirements and that our work is done with the utmost respect for the environment and the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough site surveys to identify cultural resources, including historic and prehistoric sites, and document their location, condition, and significance.
  • Collaborate with construction teams, lead monitors, principal investigators, and Tribal partners to ensure that cultural resource protection measures are implemented and effective.
  • Produce detailed reports and documentation of cultural resource findings, including photographs, measurements, and artifact identification.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to ensure that cultural resource protection requirements are met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in cultural resource management, including experience with construction monitoring and documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of cultural resource laws and regulations, including Section 106 and NEPA.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field.
  • Experience with ESRI Collector, Field Maps, and Survey 123.
  • Knowledge of and experience working in California, Nevada, the Great Basin, and the Desert West regions.
