Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Unit, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and managing patient care, including preparation for procedures and ongoing nursing support.
  • Educating patients and their families on treatment plans and medication.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and updating them with test results.
  • Administering medications as per physician directives.
  • Ensuring that the unit is well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Handling incoming calls and performing triage when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse license.
  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
