Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Unit, your responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care to achieve departmental goals. You will play a vital role in our interdependent team, focusing on positive patient outcomes.

  • Manage patient flow efficiently, including screening, preparation for procedures, and general nursing care.
  • Educate patients and families on medications and treatment plans.
  • Maintain and update patient records, including test results.
  • Administer medications per physician orders.
  • Ensure daily checks of supply levels in patient rooms.
  • Handle incoming calls, including triage when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse license.
  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
