Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Unit, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care to achieve departmental goals.
  • Managing patient flow efficiently, including screening and preparation for examinations.
  • Providing education to patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documenting test results.
  • Administering medications as per physician directives.
  • Ensuring the availability of necessary supplies in patient rooms.
  • Handling incoming calls and performing phone triage when required.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse license.
  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
