Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Unit, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and evaluating patient needs to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Managing patient flow, including screening and preparation for procedures.
  • Providing education to patients and families regarding medications and treatment protocols.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Administering medications as per physician directives.
  • Ensuring the availability of necessary supplies in patient care areas.
  • Handling incoming calls and performing triage when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse license.
  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
