Job Responsibilities and Requirements

As a Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg Department at Fairview Park Hospital, your duties will encompass the assessment, planning, and coordination of patient care. You will collaborate closely with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Oversee patient flow and deliver nursing care
  • Educate patients regarding medications and treatment plans
  • Maintain and update patient medical records
  • Administer medications according to physician directives
  • Ensure the availability of necessary supplies in patient rooms
  • Manage incoming calls and provide appropriate triage

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Active RN license in the state of practice or a Compact/Multi-State RN license
  • Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
  • Previous experience in a hospital environment is advantageous
