Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Unit, your primary responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating treatment plans to achieve departmental goals. You will play a vital role within a collaborative team, focusing on delivering positive patient outcomes.

  • Oversee the efficient flow of patients, including screening, preparation for examinations, and providing comprehensive nursing care.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding medications and treatment protocols.
  • Maintain and update patient records, including documenting test results and examinations.
  • Administer medications as per physician directives.
  • Conduct daily checks of patient rooms for necessary supplies.
  • Respond to incoming calls and provide triage when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
  • Active Registered Nurse license.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
