The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team as a FISH Reagents Business Development Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for revenue generation, new customer acquisition, and profitable promotion of Biocare/Empire Genomics FISH probe reagents, including catalog and custom items, to existing and future customers. The focus will be on customers in clinical markets as well as research, pharmaceutical, and biotech markets. A detailed knowledge of cytogenetics, molecular biology, DNA microarray, and/or FISH techniques is essential.
Territory Availability
- West US Region - Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming
- East US Region - Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C., West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida
Key Responsibilities
- Meet annual quota and annual goals set forth in the defined territory
- Seek out prospective customers/business opportunities with new and existing customers while utilizing a funnel process to move forward the sales process
- Establish and maintain customer relationships with a focus on growing profitable sales
- Manage territory with CRM tools and analyze trends via Business Intelligence tools to maximize revenue
- Introduce and demonstrate new products to existing and new accounts
- Generate quotations, consumable sales agreements, and multi-year pricing contracts to secure new business
- Report competitive conditions and feedback from customers to management
- Maintain ethical, cooperative manufacturer relationships consistent with company image and company/branch goals in the marketplace
- Manage sales process through driving product portfolio sales by partnering with marketing and support functions to close business in a timely manner
- Complete sales calls and expense reports on a timely basis in accordance with company policy
- Develop and maintain sales forecast to help analyze market conditions and/or changes in assigned territory for maximum productivity and sales growth
- Map existing and target accounts with SFDC ClosePlan to ensure proper deployment of the Biocare Playbook
- Complete administrative tasks as defined
- Other duties as assigned by Management
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required with three to five (3-5) years of relevant Sales and Industry experience
- Proficiency in the use of a personal computer accompanied by a strong aptitude for technical applications
- Detailed knowledge of one or more of the following: cytogenetics, molecular biology, DNA microarray, and/or FISH techniques
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Excellence in CRM (SalesForce.com), Business Intelligence (Tableau), and other sales tools as launched
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats, including sales presentations, demonstrated capability to develop strong interpersonal working relationships and work in a team environment
- Ability to travel 80%-90% of the time
- Current valid driver's license including a safe driving record
Compensation Package
- $125,000 to $135,000 Annually (plus commission)
Work Schedule
- 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. This position may require extended weekday or weekend hours depending on business needs.
