POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled Clinical Emergency Technician (CET) to deliver direct patient care under the guidance of nursing staff and support the operations of our healthcare units. The successful candidate will possess a keen attention to detail, demonstrate proficiency in patient care tasks, and be adept at managing emergency scenarios.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver direct patient care and assist in the daily operations of the unit.
  • Handle multiple patient care assignments according to unit needs and staffing availability.
  • Complete assigned tasks promptly and efficiently.
  • Educate and reinforce appropriate patient care practices under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
  • Respond promptly to patient inquiries and collaborate with relevant caregivers.
  • Identify and execute emergency protocols, including CPR when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records in the electronic medical documentation system.
  • Communicate significant patient changes and clinical observations to primary care teams.
  • Perform various medical tasks and procedures in accordance with established guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory.
  • Current EMT licensure in the State of Florida with experience in acute care settings.
  • Basic proficiency in computer operations.
