Position Overview

The Community Solar Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in the development of solar initiatives within the MISO region. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic and high-achieving team dedicated to advancing renewable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

The Community Solar Project Coordinator will be tasked with:
  • Identifying market opportunities, conducting thorough due diligence, and negotiating acquisition and leasing contracts for development sites.
  • Managing local and national permitting processes for multiple projects across various jurisdictions.
  • Overseeing consultants, engineers, legal advisors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Monitoring project budgets and timelines to ensure efficient and cost-effective results.
  • Leading the initiation and negotiation of power purchase agreements.
  • Engaging directly with landowners, investors, and other involved parties.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for the Community Solar Project Coordinator position will possess:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in project development, ideally within community-scale solar.
  • Experience with projects connected to Independent System Operators (ISOs).
  • Background in project management, land development, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth, etc.
  • Familiarity with zoning and permitting processes.
  • Understanding of transmission and distribution-level interconnections.
Compensation and Benefits

The Community Solar Project Coordinator will receive:

- A competitive base salary ranging from $110,000 to $140,000
