Key Responsibilities

As the Solar Energy Project Coordinator, your duties will encompass supervising contractors, monitoring operational assets, and addressing issues that may arise during the management of solar projects. Specific responsibilities include:

  1. Construction Management:
    • Ensure contractor work aligns with technical specifications, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards.
    • Evaluate plans and specifications from Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firms to ensure compliance with contracts.
    • Act as the primary liaison with EPCs, suppliers, and property owners to meet project objectives.
    • Prepare and distribute Requests for Proposals to solicit EPC bids for new initiatives.
    • Review and authorize Change Orders, Payment Applications, lien waivers, and related documents.
    • Analyze weekly progress reports to identify challenges and implement corrective measures.
  2. Solar Asset Oversight:
    • Monitor and enhance the operational performance of solar projects by collaborating with third-party maintenance providers to ensure optimal system production.
    • Guarantee adherence to essential project contracts (Power Purchase Agreements, Interconnection Agreements, Lease Agreements, Financing Agreements, Operations & Maintenance Agreements, etc.).
    • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports.
    • Foster and maintain positive relationships with all contractual parties.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess experience in solar project management, with a solid understanding of photovoltaic (PV) system construction, operation, and key commercial terms.

  • Detail-oriented with a strong ability to establish and adhere to processes.
  • Self-motivated individual with a commitment to excellence.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
  • Understanding of PV system design, operation, and critical commercial and business drivers.
  • Adept at interpreting equipment and facility schematics.
  • Experience with Project Management Professional (PMP) tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly driven and career-focused individual.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary for this role ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 annually; however, the actual base pay may vary based on individual factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional elements such as annual bonuses and a comprehensive range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, financial plans, and 401(k) eligibility, along with various paid time off benefits.
