Flexibility is key; we offer the option to work from home or in an office setting based on your preferences. We are currently seeking a driven Project Engineer to join our Renewable Energy Team, focusing primarily on solar energy development.

This role involves managing moderate to complex geotechnical projects related to solar energy development, delivering the technical expertise necessary to surpass client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project scopes and prepare proposals for moderate to complex geotechnical engineering projects, particularly in the solar energy sector.
  • Prepare geotechnical engineering reports that provide professional insights and practical solutions, along with other essential documentation.
  • Conduct engineering analyses in accordance with company and industry standards.
  • Oversee routine to complex geotechnical engineering projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, and safety.
  • Work independently on specific assignments with senior oversight.
  • Perform quality reviews of work conducted by assigned staff, identifying and resolving quality issues.
  • Collaborate with the Account Leader and regional operations to effectively coordinate field staff and manage workloads.
  • Ensure compliance with specifications by working closely with the Account Leader, engineers, project managers, and field staff.
  • Assist the Account Leader in developing business objectives and strategies.
  • Support client relationships to effectively achieve goals within the solar energy sector.
  • Conduct field testing and observations as required.
  • Assist field operations with technician training and review as needed.

  • Adept at creating, maintaining, and communicating project budgets.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in geotechnical, civil, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer registration/licensure or the ability to obtain it within two years.
  • Five or more years of experience in construction materials testing or geotechnical engineering is preferred.
  • Previous experience with large-scale construction projects is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
