Payroll Specialist Job Description

Alpine Solutions Group is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join their team in Durham, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll management, HRIS management, financial reporting, and benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage payroll processes, including data entry, calculations, and compliance
  • Administer HRIS systems, ensuring accurate and timely data entry
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including payroll and benefits data
  • Coordinate benefits administration, including open enrollment and vendor management
  • Provide HR support, including answering employee questions and resolving issues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a U.S. based institution
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll, preferably in a corporate setting
  • Proven experience with payroll software, including Paylocity
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze data
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in payroll for an insurance company or financial services
  • Knowledge of benefits administration and budget management
