Job Overview

Universal Strategic Advisors is in search of a part-time, seasoned Environmental Health and Safety Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a strong background in OSHA management. This role involves overseeing and executing compliance initiatives for our clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer expert guidance on environmental health and safety standards, practices, and methodologies for clients nationwide.
  • Create, assess, and enhance inspection tools for programs as per client requests.
  • Deliver comprehensive environmental health and safety inspection reports within 30 calendar days following each inspection.
  • Immediately report significant compliance issues or safety-related events to the client within 1 hour of identification.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for enhancing client safety protocols and the OSHA inspection framework, including necessary adjustments to the standards managed by the client.
  • Conduct analytical evaluations of client safety operations and trends, including necessary trend analysis.
  • Prepare compliance review briefings in PowerPoint format and generate monthly and annual compliance reports.
  • Facilitate technical training for workplace leaders at client locations.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to continuously develop resource materials for client OSHA protocols.
  • Develop high-visibility, multifaceted documentation using various guidelines and program-specific resources to achieve established program objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current DHS Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in OSHA and other environmental health and safety protocols utilized by the Federal Government.
  • Proven experience in defining all project activities and milestones necessary to meet objectives and deliverables, properly sequencing tasks, estimating efforts with program team members, determining critical paths, and leveling project schedules.
  • Experience in monitoring project execution to identify obstacles and deviations from plans, taking corrective actions as necessary.
  • Expertise in conducting continuous risk assessments and management, including developing strategies to mitigate risks in project execution.
  • Experience in developing metrics and reports for tracking project performance.
