The Mission Restaurants is a dynamic and growing culinary group with a strong focus on innovation and excellence. As a key member of our team, the Executive Sous Chef will play a vital role in driving our culinary vision forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu concepts and culinary initiatives.
  • Lead a high-performing kitchen team, fostering a culture of creativity, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency across all menu items.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and industry partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, scheduling, and staff development.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of business strategies, including menu engineering, pricing, and marketing initiatives.
  • Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and food costing to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to feedback and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a deep understanding of flavor profiles, cooking techniques, and menu engineering.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, restaurant management software, and other relevant tools and technologies.
