RiseBoro Community Partnership is a comprehensive agency that serves underserved communities in New York City. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Educational Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

The Educational Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing educational curriculum for elementary and middle school aged participants. This includes training and instructional supervision, curriculum development and oversight, and recruitment and programmatic support.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational curriculum for elementary and middle school aged participants
  • Train and supervise instructional staff
  • Develop and implement literacy and STEM components of the program
  • Recruit and select instructional staff
  • Collaborate with Program Director and Director of Youth Services to develop curricular design
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in English Language arts, literacy, science, math, education, or content related areas; Master's degree in related field preferred
  • Experience with curriculum development, project-based learning, youth development principles, childhood and adolescent literacy, and STEM
  • Ability to observe, coach, and develop staff
  • Strong organization, communication, and writing skills
  • Proficiency with educational technologies, such as MSWord and Google
