Hours:
- After School Care: Monday to Friday, 3 pm to 6 pm.
Apollo After School provides after-school programs and enrichment activities at local educational institutions. We are in search of enthusiastic, personable, and dependable educators for our community-based initiatives. A degree in education is appreciated, but candidates with relevant experience or related qualifications are also encouraged to apply. Your Responsibilities as an Apollo Educator:
- Foster a supportive learning atmosphere and oversee activities that enhance the school day;
- Assist in executing classroom curricula and weekly lesson plans as necessary;
- Ensure the safety and well-being of enrolled children;
- Adhere to the established schedule and curriculum, maintaining a consistent routine for students;
- Engage and retain students through enthusiasm, teaching abilities, and patience;
- Support students in completing their homework.
- Ability to earn respect and cooperation in an elementary classroom setting;
- Confidence to manage a classroom independently;
- A collaborative team player who works well with colleagues;
- Capability to identify and address challenges associated with elementary-aged children;
- Skill in creating and sustaining a fun, nurturing, and responsive educational environment;
- At least one year of experience working with school-aged children, ages 4-10, in a school or after-school context.
