Job Description

TEKsystems is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Support Technician to join our team for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As an Enterprise Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our clients, ensuring timely resolutions to their networking and technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by resolving client issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Network Operation Centers (NOCs), Network Engineering, and Field and Client Account teams, to ensure seamless resolution of technical issues.
  • Investigate and identify the root cause of technical problems, and implement solutions to improve department processes and technologies.
  • Document complex technical issues concisely for repair teams, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Work in a 24/7 Technical Assistance Center (TAC) environment, providing technical support for a wide range of networking and technical issues.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support environment, preferably in a 24/7 Technical Assistance Center (TAC) or Network Operation Center (NOC) environment.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting, including fiber-based networking, managed WiFi services, enterprise trunking, hosted voice, and enterprise TV services.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, radio frequency (RF), routers, layer-2 switches, virtual private network (VPN), course wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM), hybrid-fiber coax (HFC) plant and delivery system, routing protocols and policies, Wi-Fi, and voice over internet protocol (VoIP) platforms.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, making decisions independently, resolving issues, and demonstrating a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
