About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier/Sales Associate at Town Star. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and achieving sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, respond to their inquiries, and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Sales Floor Management: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, restock shelves, and ensure that all products are properly displayed and priced.
  • Upselling and Suggestive Selling: Identify opportunities to upsell and suggest complementary products to customers, enhancing their shopping experience and driving sales growth.
  • Cash Handling: Accurately process transactions, handle customer payments, and maintain a secure and efficient cash handling process.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals, maintain a positive and productive store environment, and provide support as needed.
  • Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean and welcoming store environment, including cleaning restrooms, emptying trash bins, and refilling window washing stations.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the store.
Requirements
  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older (21 years of age or older in certain states).
  • Availability: Must be able to work weekends and holidays, embracing the full rhythm of retail.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
  • Math Proficiency: Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Pre-Employment Screening: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
  • Personable and Positive: Friendly demeanor and ability to make people feel welcome.
  • Detail-Oriented: Notice the little things that make a big difference in a customer's experience.
