Job Description

As a Veterans Rehabilitation Coordinator at New Directions for Veterans (NDVets), you will be responsible for coordinating rehabilitative services for veterans, including individual and group therapy sessions, vocational training, and case management. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those who have served our country.

About the Position

  • You will be working closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including clinicians, therapists, and peer support specialists, to develop and implement individualized plans of care.
  • You will need to possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure seamless collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Your ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively, manage competing deadlines, and maintain accurate records will be essential in this role.
  • The physical demands of this position require you to be able to stand, sit, walk, stoop, talk, hear, reach above and below shoulders; use hand and finger dexterity, keyboarding and making and receiving telephone calls. You may be required to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs on occasion.

  • Demonstrated experience/knowledge related to working in the mental health field.
  • Compassion for clients and dedication to making a difference.
  • Comfort working with a diverse population, including clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, both in the office and in the community.
