Job Overview

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves working with adults (18 years and older) with serious, high-acuity mental illnesses. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring client progress in rehabilitative services and focusing on improving, maintaining, and/or restoring client functioning.
  • Accompanying clients into the community to improve access to resources and/or attend appointments.
  • Gathering and assessing patient/client information to evaluate needs.
  • Providing skilled/trauma-informed crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Maintaining timely, complete, and legible clinical records.
  • Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team to assist clients in achieving the best possible clinical outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have experience/knowledge related to working in the mental health field, demonstrated compassion for clients, and a strong desire to make a difference. A valid CRM/PSS certification or ability to obtain within 6 months is required.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience/knowledge related to working in the mental health field.
  • Compassion for clients and a strong desire to make a difference.
  • A valid CRM/PSS certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Competency in computer use, keyboarding, and MS Office products.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
