About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team in the Philadelphia (Media), PA office. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction materials used in various land development and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field observations at jobsites in the region to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Sample and test construction materials, including soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel.
  • Prepare accurate daily logs outlining your inspections and results of the tests performed on construction materials.
  • Communicate daily with the Project Manager or Operations Manager regarding project progress and other pertinent information.
Requirements
  • Reliable vehicle for field work, valid driver's license, and satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds (soil and concrete samples, nuclear gauges, other equipment).
  • Ability to work in all outdoor climates and mobility over various terrain.
  • Attention to detail and quality, while adhering to all safety requirements.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Use of company-provided tablet and working knowledge of MS Office programs.
  • Ability to perform basic math and use measurement tools.
  • With training, the ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Preferred Qualifications

Hiring preference will be given to experienced technicians with verifiable certifications such as ACI, NICET, WACEL, etc.
