As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of construction materials used in various land development and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct field observations at construction sites to monitor the quality of materials and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collect and test construction materials, including soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel.
- Prepare accurate and detailed daily logs documenting your inspections and test results.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and operations staff to ensure seamless project execution.
- Reliable vehicle for field work and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift and move up to 60-80 pounds of materials and equipment.
- Capacity to work in various outdoor climates and navigate different terrain.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality, with a focus on safety protocols.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using company-provided tablets and MS Office programs.
- Basic math skills and ability to use measurement tools.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety guidelines, and operating instructions.
- Experience as a construction materials testing technician or inspector.
- Verifiable certifications such as ACI, NICET, WACEL, etc.
