CDR Maguire Inc. is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contract documents and providing expert advice on construction and installation of transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents and specifications.
  • Consult with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders on matters related to plans, materials, and construction methods.
  • Prepare daily progress reports and maintain progress schedules.
  • Check shop drawings and contractors' quotations for variation.
  • Maintain records of quantities and cost of materials used.
  • Prepare contractors' periodic progress payment claims and recommend payment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Minimum of one year PennDOT experience or higher, or minimum of two years of transportation, highway, or bridge construction inspection experience.
  • Four years of highway or bridge construction, non-highway or bridge inspection, or highway or bridge design experience, or successful completion of the twelve web-based TCI training modules.
  • Civil Engineering or Construction degree can substitute for needed experience.
Preferred Certifications
  • NICET Level 2 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction.
  • NECEPT Bituminous field certification.
  • ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician certification.
  • PennDOT/PTC CDS certification.
  • ECMS experience.
  • OSHA 10-Hour certification.
