Job Summary

We're seeking a Wastewater Discipline Engineer to join our growing team. As a key member of our team, you'll work on projects spanning the full life cycle, from planning and feasibility studies to design, construction, and maintenance. You'll lead projects, manage budgets and schedules, and develop construction documents and specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Lead projects utilizing technical knowledge and experience to develop the project team's overall capabilities.
  • Manage projects from planning to design and construction of wastewater conveyance systems, including pipelines, pump stations, storage, and end-of-pipe treatment facilities.
  • Develop construction documents and specifications, and handle engineering services during construction.
  • Meet established budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment.
  • Coordinate execution of projects with other disciplines.
  • Develop medium to large planning and design projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare complete construction packages, including all deliverables, for the engineering, procurement, and construction of WW conveyance systems for clients.
  • Create and manage cost estimates and project schedules, and complete design tasks within budget and on schedule.
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations and analysis, and utilize design software to solve complex issues.
  • Supervise and support the work of others, and mentor junior-level engineers and design/drafting technical staff.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in the planning, design, and construction of municipal WW conveyance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study.
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Experience in process design, treatment plant upgrades, and pump station design.
  • Strong data analysis and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior-level staff.
  • P.E. required.
