Electrical Engineer - Water Infrastructure Design

Arcadis U.S. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Water Infrastructure Design Services group. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing electrical engineering services for water and wastewater facilities, including design, planning, and construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support senior electrical engineers on large-scale projects, including project planning, design, and construction services.
  • Lead electrical design efforts on smaller projects, under the supervision of a senior electrical engineer.
  • Develop project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Electrical design and coordination of various projects, with an emphasis on power distribution, lighting, communications, and motor controls.
  • Assist in preparing budgets for planning and design.
  • Utilize CAD programs proficiently to execute design work.
  • Establish design criteria, perform design calculations, and develop one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, and specifications.
  • Perform engineering services during construction, including reviewing equipment submittals, shop drawings, and responding to contractor RFIs.
  • Conduct field inspections, assist projects in construction, and monitor safety compliance.
  • Perform system analysis using ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or other power systems analysis software.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 3 years' relevant experience in electrical engineering design.
  • EIT certification and working towards a PE.
  • Experience in Autodesk Revit or equivalent CAD program.
