The ideal candidate will engage in the design and coordination of water and wastewater initiatives, aspiring to take on more complex leadership roles while honing project management skills and overseeing interdisciplinary work. Responsibilities will encompass a variety of municipal, state, and local government projects related to water and wastewater systems, including conveyance, storage, treatment, and pumping stations. The successful candidate will also collaborate with the marketing team to secure projects for the water/wastewater division.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses.
  • Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to standard engineering practices and proper documentation in various reports and design projects.
  • Interpret specifications and drawings, recommending and documenting design modifications.
  • Address inquiries, plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, along with construction support services.
  • Assist in business development efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil, Environmental, or a related Engineering discipline (water/wastewater focus preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience in the design of water and wastewater systems, including pipelines and pumping systems.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Colorado is mandatory.
  • Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Experience in alternative analyses for alignments, pipe materials, and valves.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Active involvement in water and wastewater professional associations is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • NASSCO PACP Certification is preferred.
  • This role may require occasional travel.
Compensation:
$82,000-$98,000, based on experience.
