Marketing Operations Director

The Director, Marketing Operations Review Management is a key leadership role at AbbVie, responsible for driving process excellence and agility across the organization. This position leads Marketing Operations teams responsible for the strategic leadership of AbbVie's U.S. Pharma Material Review Process (MRP), using performance analytics to advance process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate process health at business and enterprise level, assessing improvement opportunities and setting vision and focus for the team to drive goal setting and continued growth and development.
- Direct execution and change management planning for large-scale Commercial initiatives, including launches and company integrations, and partner with Business Technology and digital marketing leads to optimize MRP for digital channels.
- Collaborate with enterprise leadership team and other senior level stakeholders to evaluate complex improvement initiatives and support process audits and compliance discussions to drive and measure policy adherence and maintain compliance standards.
- Build and encourage high-performing teams, motivating team members around shared goals and vision, and provide positive leadership and productive influence across the organization.
This is a hybrid role requiring the ability to come to our Mettawa, Illinois office at least 3 days per week. The position reports to Lead Director, Marketing Operations within the US Therapeutics Operations organization and partners with leadership across Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, and Business Technology.
Accountability and Scope
- Oversees functional team of approximately 50 full-time employees.
- Accountable for MRP review team structure, organizational design, and resource management.
- Represents Marketing Operations in cross-functional activities, supporting specific therapeutic areas and enterprise-wide initiatives.
