The Lead Financial Analyst acts as a vital collaborator with the RBC US Wealth Management leadership team, offering insights into the evaluation, quantification, and communication of both financial and operational goals while providing strategic recommendations for effective financial governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-depth research and analyses, developing financial models to address complex financial challenges and business prospects.
  • Oversee month-end closing processes, collaborating with Financial Control to enhance accounting methodologies related to revenue recognition, expenditure tracking, data management, and account reconciliations.
  • Examine financial balances for accuracy and reasonableness, while creating and refining intricate databases and financial models.
  • Deliver presentations and insights to senior management, articulating findings and recommendations.
  • Administer budget management alongside short- and long-term forecasting, providing counsel to business stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities that could impact the successful execution of strategic plans, engaging in various projects focused on improving business practices, including leading finance-driven initiatives.
Qualifications for Success
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in financial analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Alteryx.
  • Experience within the financial services sector.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively share insights with stakeholders.
  • Proactive, self-sufficient problem solver who thrives in a team environment.
  • Highly organized with strong project and time management capabilities.
  • Innovative and inquisitive, eager to explore new concepts and adapt to change.
  • Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
