Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and empathetic Vice President of Software Engineering / Group Chapter Leader to enhance our digital offerings in financial planning, investment, and retirement solutions.


This role requires a seasoned engineering leader who possesses both technological acumen and strong leadership capabilities to fulfill our mission of providing exceptional omni-channel services to our clients. Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Leadership & Product Delivery:
    - Provide technical expertise and visionary leadership across product management, engineering, and user-centered design teams to ensure the development of superior products and experiences.
    - Set clear objectives and performance indicators for the product domain, holding accountability for their execution and reporting.
    - Collaborate across various teams to prioritize technical initiatives and product features.
    - Act as a key integrator, partnering with UX Design, architecture, and product teams to align technical direction with our strategic vision while keeping up with industry engineering trends.
    - Create a forward-looking vision to identify needs for large systems and initiatives, translating this into actionable roadmaps.
    - Establish frameworks and processes to promote scalability and efficiency through a platform-oriented mindset.
    - Facilitate decision-making regarding standards, resources, and overall project direction through proactive collaboration with senior leadership.

    - Lead by example, instilling core values and a culture that inspires our community.
    - Develop and communicate the vision, roadmap, and expectations for your technology organization.
    - Utilize your network to build effective teams, recruit for both cultural fit and technical skills, and mentor them to achieve their highest potential.

Qualifications:
    - Over 10 years of leadership experience managing technology teams with a focus on product management for critical internet-facing solutions.
    - Strong critical thinking and agile delivery skills, with a commitment to enhancing team effectiveness through mentorship and continuous improvement.
    - A genuine dedication to coaching engineers at various levels, creating frameworks for skill development, and fostering leadership capabilities.
    - Proven ability to inspire creativity and innovation within teams, cultivating a culture of inclusion and continuous learning.
    - Excellent influencing and negotiation skills, with a collaborative mindset to build effective relationships across business units.
    - Familiarity with a diverse and evolving technology stack, including API, microservices, and automation development in a cloud-based environment.

This team is responsible for enhancing Fidelity's digital presence. As an Engineering Leader, you will guide teams in developing omni-channel capabilities and the foundational platforms that support our digital initiatives. You will leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to shape the overall technology strategy.
