Position Overview:
As a Senior Vice President of Software Engineering at Goldman Sachs, you will play a pivotal role in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the firm's software solutions that support its global operations. Your expertise will be essential in designing and implementing high-quality, scalable technology solutions that leverage both proprietary and open-source services.

You will be responsible for gathering requirements, refining user stories, and overseeing the entire development process, including testing (unit, integration, and regression), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and deployment. Collaborating with internal teams, you will create innovative solution designs that meet the needs of our business.

Additionally, you will identify and evaluate new external technologies that can transform our financial services and internal platforms in groundbreaking ways. Your role will encompass all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards. You will also design, implement, and maintain comprehensive testing suites to guarantee safe, complete, and scalable solutions across various business lines. Furthermore, you will provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, along with five (5) years of experience in the offered position or a similar software engineering role is required. Your prior experience should include:

- Comprehensive knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support;
- Expertise in developing multi-threaded and multi-process service-oriented applications using C++ or Java within a Unix environment;
- Proficiency in programming technologies such as Java, Spring, Hibernate, RabbitMQ, or Kafka;
- Experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) like Sybase or Oracle;
- Familiarity with microservices architecture design and development, including REST, Java, Spring, or other backend technologies;
- Competence in database query languages, including SQL or NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB.
