Cashier Support Specialist

This role is essential in supporting the retail operations by executing various tasks that enhance the sales process. Responsibilities include handling point-of-sale transactions, managing merchandise, processing stock, and organizing the stockroom efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Operational Efficiency:
Manage merchandise flow by ensuring items are stored correctly, tagged appropriately, and easily accessible for restocking. Timely processing of new products is crucial to maintain an appealing sales floor.
Accurate entry of receiving documents into the inventory system and reconciliation of merchandise invoices are required. Ensure timely completion of store transfers and locate requests.Handle visual merchandising materials and ensure proper storage of stockroom supplies. Participate in pricing adjustments and markdowns as necessary.
Notify management regarding cash supply requirements and assist with visual directives including store layouts and signage as directed.Customer Engagement:
Exemplify and promote outstanding customer service principles, ensuring a seamless shopping experience across all channels. Provide efficient register service while staying informed on payment policies, returns, and security protocols.
Encourage customer purchases at checkout, including gift card sales, and enroll clients in loyalty programs.Collaboration and Development:
Foster a cooperative and inclusive environment for problem-solving. Actively seek opportunities for personal growth and welcome constructive feedback.
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed. This position may vary across different brands.QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in stock management or cashier roles is preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
Able to adapt to technology used in the workplace.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Regular attendance is critical to meet operational goals. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is necessary.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Frequent walking and standing throughout the shift.
Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Regular climbing as part of job duties.
