Clinical Nurse Specialist - Hematology Oncology - Full Time

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Conducts thorough assessments of assigned patients and formulates care plans, ensuring meticulous documentation of nursing interventions. Monitors and reports on symptoms and variations in patients' conditions and vital signs. Adjusts treatment plans based on patient responses, clinical conditions, and physician directives. Reviews and interprets diagnostic tests to evaluate patient status. Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive patient care strategies. Prepares patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, providing necessary information while considering their age and cultural background. Fosters a supportive environment by delivering psychological assistance. Performs relevant patient tests and administers medications within the scope of nursing practice. Maintains precise records regarding medications and treatments administered. Communicates care plans effectively to patients, families, and team members, ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards. Implements best practices for patient care transitions and assists in discharge planning. Organizes, prioritizes, and modifies assignments to achieve objectives and deliver exceptional patient care; seeks guidance when necessary. Operates medical equipment proficiently. Acts as a mentor and resource for new staff, providing constructive feedback as required. Complies with established policies and procedures.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required

Certification and Licensing:
Registered Nurse License; Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:
  • Proficient understanding of medical terminology
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing care methodologies and protocols
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Exceptional patient interaction skills
  • Adept at recognizing, analyzing, and resolving various issues
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
  • Strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats
